• Experience in regulated financial environments with institutional trading platforms.

Location: Hartford, CT - Hybrid

Salary: $145,000 – $175,000 +Bonus

Experience with any trading platform will be considered if you have experience working with APIs.

The leaders of this team will train the right candidate on Charles River Trading and Compliance platform!

The senior engineer currently leading this area plans to retire in the next couple of years, creating a rare opportunity for someone to come in, work side-by-side with an experienced expert, absorb deep institutional and platform knowledge, and ultimately become a key long-term leader for the trading systems environment.

This role will play a major part in the firm’s modernization initiative, including:

• Migrating the Charles River platform from on-prem to SaaS/Azure
• Reengineering legacy integrations into modern API-driven services
• Building applications and workflows that integrate market and trading data into the platform
• Supporting mission-critical trading and compliance workflows used across a massive institutional investment operation
• You’ll work closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance teams, and Technology leadership in a highly visible role where your contributions will directly impact trading operations and platform evolution.

The ideal background:

• Experience supporting the Charles River Investment Management Solution platform would be ideal, but will consider experience with any trading platform combined with experience with API-driven services
• Understanding of investment trading workflows, compliance, and portfolio operations
• Experience with any Trading platform SaaS migrations, upgrades, APIs, or integrations is highly desired
• Development experience with C# or Python
• Strong understanding of SQL and enterprise integrations
• Experience supporting institutional trading platforms in regulated financial environments
• Candidates with experience supporting comparable institutional platforms such as Bloomberg Terminal, Aladdin, or SimCorp will also be considered.
