Job summary

System One is seeking a DevOps Engineer for Trading & Supply to join a contract, hybrid role in Houston, TX. You will manage critical workflows, drive stability, and support scalable algorithmic trading technology in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include on-call participation, troubleshooting from report to resolution, and acting as SME for trading system initiatives while collaborating with vendor teams and internal stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years Front Office application support and vendor management.
• 6+ years commodity trading/capital markets/investment banking experience.
• 3+ years FIX engineering.
• Futures exchanges, derivatives trade lifecycle, OMS/trading platforms and market data providers.
• Scripting and automation experience strongly desired.
• Messaging/network protocols including TCP/multicast; RTDS and KDB/Shakti familiarity valued.
• Strong communication and ability to work under demanding trading room deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage critical workflows and continuously improve stability/resilience.
• Troubleshoot issues from report through resolution or bug creation.
• Serve as SME for trading system initiatives and support scalable algorithmic trading technology.
• Participate in on call support and drive production reliability improvements.
