Job summary

Rainfall Ventures is seeking a Trading Specialist to monitor live trading across overnight, extended hours, and regular sessions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution. You will investigate issues, coordinate responses, and collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, and Customer Experience to support trading infrastructure and risk management.

The role offers exposure to trading operations, risk management, and customer-impacting decisions with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years in broker-dealer operations/trading.
• FINRA Series 7 required.
• FINRA 57 license required.
• Strong understanding of brokerage operations.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

• Coordinate response for system, trading, and communications (SEV) issues.

The Trading Operations team is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant trade execution across all supported asset classes while protecting customers and the firm. The team partners closely with Engineering, Compliance, Customer Experience, and external market centers to maintain system stability and trading integrity during all market sessions. Robinhood has now introduced 24/7 trading and this hire will help support this new function.

As a Trading Specialist, you will monitor live trading activity across overnight, extended hours, and regular market sessions while supporting the health of Robinhood's trading infrastructure. You'll investigate and resolve trading issues, coordinate responses to system or venue disruptions, and communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners. This role offers hands-on exposure to trading operations, risk management, and customer-impacting decisions, with meaningful opportunities for learning and career growth!

This role is remote but will be tied to a local Robinhood office in New York, NY, Lake Mary, FL, Chicago, IL, or Denver, CO.

Friday 9pm - Sat 9am (Friday overnight to Saturday)
Sat 9pm - Sun 9am (Saturday overnight to Sunday)
Sunday 8pm - Mon 5am (Sunday overnight to Monday)
Wednesday 8pm - Thurs 5am (Wednesday overnight to Thursday)

What you'll do

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$115,000 - $135,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$101,000 - $119,000 USD

$89,000 - $105,000 USD
