Job summary

Trexquant Investment in Stamford, CT is seeking an experienced leader to manage the portfolio process and related software operations, ensuring data, alpha, strategy and portfolio generation run smoothly. You will design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure, coordinate across middle office, trading, research, and technology, and scale operations across asset classes.

This hands-on role requires strong engineering and leadership skills, with a base salary around $200,000 and a discretionary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related STEM fields.
• 8+ years of experience in trading operations, middle office, or related functions at a quantitative hedge fund or systematic proprietary trading firm.
• Experience scaling trading operations across multiple asset classes.
• Strong understanding of global equity trading, trade lifecycle management, prime brokerage, clearing, and settlement.
• Experience overseeing complex, automated trading environments across multiple markets and asset classes.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale trading operation systems, including real-time dashboards and monitoring of performance, execution quality, operational risk, and system health.
• Lead cross-functional and external partner coordination across middle office, trading, execution, research, technology, risk, compliance, and finance.
• Ensure data, alpha, strategy and portfolio generation processes run smoothly and reliably as the firm grows.
• Oversee external partner relationships with administrators, custodians, and other partners.
• Own and improve operational infrastructure to support expansion into new markets and asset classes.
