Job summary

AssetMark seeks a Manager, Trading in the Charlotte area to lead a team of traders and portfolio implementation professionals. You will oversee model-based trading, UMA/SMA structures, and multi-account platforms, ensuring accurate and efficient trade execution aligned with client goals and controls.

The role emphasizes scaling the trading function, improving workflows, and reducing operational risk. Hybrid schedule and relocation to Charlotte area are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in portfolio trading, investment operations, wealth management, or related financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Industry licensing or professional certifications such as Series 7/24/65/3, Lean Six Sigma, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead timely, accurate, and controlled implementation of investment strategies across client accounts and UMAs/SMAs.
• Oversee portfolio rebalancing, trade execution, allocations, cash management, and risk monitoring.
• Monitor trading volumes, capacity, service levels, and risk indicators to support growth.
• Establish governance, procedures, and metrics for the trading organization.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve platforms and data integrity.
