Job summary

Glencore Ltd in Midtown Manhattan seeks an Application Support Analyst to provide front-line support for trading and financial applications, perform root cause analysis, coordinate with global IT, and assist in testing resolutions and major releases.

The role requires strong problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to work under pressure with stakeholders across levels. Five+ years in relevant roles and SQL skills are preferred, with collaboration across London and Baar offices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commodities or financial trading environment (1–3 years).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to write SQL queries for troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Understanding of incident management, change management, business analysis and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line user support for Glencore trading and financial applications.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate back-end support with global IT.
• Assist in testing problem resolutions and major product releases.
• Participate in UAT with IT product teams and stakeholders.
• Manage user access and conduct access reviews.
• Document issues, resolutions and enhancements for knowledge base.
