Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Memphis, TN seeks an experienced HR/Staffing leader to manage hiring, development, career advancement, and utilization of trade staff. You will coordinate with site leadership, post positions, conduct interviews, extend offers, and onboard new hires.

Role emphasizes performance management, staff training, and collaboration with Preconstruction and Business Development. Travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program and 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination
• Construction experience preferred
• Good understanding of business and construction operations
• Management experience and ability to direct others
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint, and HR-related applications
• Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workforce needs with jobsite Supervisors, Superintendents, Project Managers and Executives
• Post open project staff positions with HR
• Participate in recruitment: review applications, interview candidates, extend offers
• Arrange first-day onboarding and site orientation for new hires
• Visit job sites to connect with trades and supervisors
• Assist with performance reviews and staff development plans
• Identify high-potential staff and recommend training
• Maintain Training Roster for hourly trades
• Oversee employee location logging and discipline processes
• Collaborate with Preconstruction and Business Development on pursuits
