This position is located in Unit 720, District 02’s Houma Sub-District. This unit is the bridge repair crew who maintains all bridges and tunnel within Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes. Examples of bridges worked on are electrical vertical lift, hydraulic or electrical bascule, hydraulic or electrical double bascule, hydraulic or electrical swing, and Pontoon.

Job Specification
A valid Louisiana Class “D” Chauffeur’s License is required before appointment.
Appointment Type: Probational or promotional
Trades Apprentice $16.06 hourly
Maintenance Repairer 1 $17.18 hourly
Maintenance Repairer 2 $19.67 hourly
Career Progression: As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Trades Apprentice, Maintenance Repairer 1 or Maintenance Repairer 2 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). The maximum monthly salary for the Maintenance Repairer 2 is $6,136.00.
