The State of Louisiana DOTD is seeking an Engineering Technician 5 to serve as an Assistant Asphalt Plant Inspector within the District Laboratory. This Engineering Technician 5 serves as an Assistant Asphalt Plant Inspector within the District Laboratory, performing advanced and highly complex sub-professional engineering work related to asphalt plant inspection, materials testing, and quality assurance. The position works under the broad supervision of the Engineering Technician Consultant responsible for Plant Inspection and assists in monitoring asphalt production and construction materials for compliance with DOTD specifications, quality assurance requirements, and established testing procedures.
The position may also serve as a lead worker, providing technical guidance, training, and functional direction to lower-level personnel engaged in sub-professional engineering work.
