Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of applicable legal experience required.
• Expertise in all areas of trademark prosecution and enforcement.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work with high independence and good judgment.
• Clear communication with all management levels.
• Strong organizational skills and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ESPN’s global trademark portfolio by filing US and global applications and renewals with outside counsel.
• Review watch notices for trademarks and domain names; track infringing domains.
• Conduct screening searches and draft reports for internal clients.
• Prepare cease and desist letters and process takedowns for online IP infringement.
• Review and edit opposition documents and gather information for proceedings.
• Review materials for proper trademark use and track deadlines.
• Draft contracts and other legal documents for attorney review.
• Identify legal issues and assess risk at a professional level.
• Set up matters in Tracker, review invoices, and assist with billing reconciliation.
