Job summary

1872 Consulting seeks an experienced Trademark Paralegal to support two partners in a high-visibility seat. You will manage U.S. and foreign prosecution from TEAS filings to registrations, and handle docketing, clearance searches, and client reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a law firm trademark practice, proficiency with TEAS and TMEP, strong written communication, and an ABA-approved paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree; ability to work independently under deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of trademark paralegal experience at a law firm.
• Trademark-only background — this role is not a fit for patent or mixed-IP practice.
• Full-cycle U.S. prosecution: TEAS, office actions, specimens, renewals; strong TMEP command.
• Proficiency with IP docketing systems (PATTSY, CPI, or similar); clearance search experience.
• Polished written communication and client-facing presence; works independently under deadlines.
• ABA-approved paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution end to end: TEAS filings, specimens, office actions, and renewals.
• Instruct foreign counsel and manage docket from application through registration and renewal.
• Conduct clearance searches and provide enforcement support.
• Prepare client reports and maintain clear, professional written communication.
