Position: Trademark Paralegal – Soft IP Focus, New York City, 5 days a week on site

Role Overview:

Our client is a dynamic and growing legal practice specializing in intellectual property law. They are seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal with a strong focus on soft IP, specifically trademark prosecution and maintenance, to join their team.

As a Trademark Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing trademark docketing and supporting all aspects of trademark prosecution and portfolio management. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure all deadlines are met and filings are accurate, helping to protect valuable brand assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain trademark docketing systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and file trademark applications, renewals, office action responses, and related documents.
• Monitor trademark portfolios to ensure compliance with renewal and maintenance deadlines.
• Liaise with external counsel, trademark offices, and internal teams.
• Conduct trademark searches and preliminary clearance reviews.
• Organize and maintain trademark files and documentation.
• Support trademark enforcement and opposition proceedings as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Trademark Paralegal, with a focus on soft IP and trademark prosecution.
• Strong expertise in docketing systems and calendar management.
• Familiarity with USPTO processes and international trademark filings is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with legal teams and clients.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
