Job summary

ArentFox Schiff LLP seeks an associate in our Silicon Valley or San Francisco office to join the Trademark & Copyright group, 2nd or 3rd year class. The ideal candidate handles trademark and copyright matters, including clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, and enforcement, with a client-focused approach.

Experience counseling clients on trademark selection, use, and protection strategies and assistance with disputes and brand protection matters is required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience handling trademark and copyright matters including clearance, prosecution, portfolio management and enforcement.
• Experience counseling clients on trademark selection, use and protection strategies and assisting with disputes is required.
• Experience with copyright counseling, licensing, domain name disputes and online brand enforcement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle trademark and copyright matters including domestic and international clearance, prosecution, portfolio management and enforcement.
• Counsel clients on trademark selection, use, and protection strategies and assist with disputes and brand protection matters.
• Exposure to technology, digital media, consumer products, retail, or internet-based businesses is strongly preferred.
