Job summary

Acosta is seeking a Trade Specialist in Livermore, CA to bridge centralized trade with client sales and shared services. You will analyze contracts, rates, and product details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial settlement alignment across channels.

The role requires strong Excel, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently while coordinating with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred; concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or 3–5 years related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience with trade management systems, financial reconciliation, or customer accounts preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities; able to interpret data.
• Ability to exercise sound business judgment, prioritize demands, and work independently.
• Proven problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain trade concepts cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in client trade systems; ensure accurate setup of contracts, rates, dates, and product details.
• Compare contracts and systems to identify discrepancies, risks, and financial impacts.
• Audit customer trade events and deductions for contract and policy compliance.
• Lead reconciliation efforts; align deduction timing with client requests and internal balances.
• Own KPIs related to open deductions and provide routine/ad hoc reporting.
• Analyze trends in trade discrepancies; identify root causes and suggest improvements.
• Partner with Global Business Services to resolve issues and refine SOPs.
• Facilitate cross-functional operating cadences to ensure transparency and alignment.
