Smithbucklin, a 650-person employee-owned firm in Chicago, seeks a Trade Show Manager to join the Event Services team in Chicago or DC. You will lead trade show management, planning and delivery for a top-ranked U.S.

portfolio, driving strategy, budget control and exhibitor satisfaction in a hybrid environment. The role requires 5+ years in trade show management, strong finances acumen, and the ability to travel up to 20% (including weekends).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of trade show management experience.
• Ability to travel up to 20% including weekends.
• Excellent knowledge of trade show terminology and management.
• Experience with international trade shows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead trade show management, planning and delivery for large shows.
• Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and budgets.
• Coordinate show floor plans, sponsorships, exhibits and education sessions.
• Oversee relationships with suppliers, exhibitors and Sales teams.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
• Coach others on revenue, expense and financial practices.
