Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking an Operations Specialist for FRB Settlements in New Jersey. You will handle trade processing, settlement activities, client communications, and daily reconciliation to ensure timely, accurate settlement of government and mortgage-backed securities.

Responsibilities

• Process all deliver and receive orders settling with other brokers/banks – US Government and Federal agency Mortgage-Backed securities clearing through FRB (Bank of NY) for our custody accounts.
• Verify the trade information vs. broker presentation received from the client via the Sonic system.
• Manage daily volume.
• Review and resolve discrepancies in order information received (e.g. FRB reclaims).
• Escalate problem items as appropriate.
• Communicate professionally and constructively via email/phone with clients and counterparties to resolve issues and minimize risk.
• Provide superior client service and communicate as part of a team.
• Contribute to Management Reporting (statistics on work volumes).
• Gain efficiency to improve productivity and understand the big picture of how functions impact the firm.
• Contribute to Division or Firm process improvement activities.
