Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is seeking a professional to support trade settlement and client service for government- and agency-backed securities. You will verify trades, manage daily volumes, and communicate with clients and banks to resolve issues, supporting risk controls and efficiency.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and timely reporting within a collaborative BBH environment in New Jersey. A BS/BA and solid PC skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Process all deliver and receive orders settling with other brokers/banks – US Government and Federal agency Mortgage-Backed securities clearing through FRB (Bank of NY) for our custody accounts.
• Adhere to all daily deadlines.
• Verify the trade information vs. broker presentation received from the client via the Sonic system.
• Manage daily volume.
• Review and resolve discrepancies in order information received (e.g., FRB reclaims).
• Escalate problem items as appropriate.
• Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively via email, phone, etc. with internal and external clients and counterparties resolve issues to minimize risk and exposure.
• Provide superior client service.
• Communicate as part of a team.
• Contribute to Management Reporting.
• Gain efficiency to improve individual productivity.
• Gain an understanding of the big picture – how specific function impacts the firm.
• Contribute to Division or Firm process improvement activities.
