Job summary

Smithfield Foods is hiring an Associate Manager, Trade Planning and Execution to coordinate the planning process, including pricing and promotions, for select customers. The role serves as a liaison between Sales and Business Management and drives the approval of account plans.

You will work with Sales, Business Management, Demand Planning, and Marketing to ensure plans align with company objectives and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience leading with training, coaching or mentoring to others.
• Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience in sales, marketing, category management, or trade marketing preferred.
• Solid understanding of product management and customer trade planning processes.
• Strong presentation skills for communicating insights and best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates trade planning with the assigned sales team to create pricing and trade plans for key customers.
• Applies syndicated data and analytics to build insights and smarter plans.
• Acts as liaison between Sales, Business Management, Demand Planning and Marketing.
• Coordinates creation of plans to meet company objectives and secures review for approval.
• Communicates policies and objectives to field sales regarding price and trade planning.
• Keeps planning process/schedule on track and ensures timely reporting of trade spending.
