Job summary

Whitecap Search is seeking a dedicated professional to support the trade lifecycle and enhance operational processes across asset classes in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves coordinating with senior stakeholders, managing trade executions, and driving process improvements with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Strong Excel skills and experience with ledger systems are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Excel, including macros, vlookups, and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Experience with shadow general ledger systems, preferably Geneva.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with COO & CFO to improve operational processes and align with business objectives.
• Manage booking of third-party trade executions across multiple asset classes.
• Oversee daily trading policies, procedures, position limits, and controls.
• Support end-to-end trade flow and address ad hoc trade capture and risk management issues.
• Communicate with Principals, Traders, and Strategists about portfolios and issues.
• Track OTC confirmations and daily risk reporting; manage option exercises/assignments.
• Prepare nightly and weekly reports for investment and operations teams.
• Engage in process improvement and automation of internal trade flows.
• Collaborate with internal departments on operations projects.
• Reconcile third-party trades with broker recap files and support automation.
• Initiate early exercises and manage bookings of assignments and expiries.
• Participate in ad hoc accounting, operations, and compliance projects.
