The successful candidate will have 5–10 years of relevant industry experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to navigate state and federal licensing requirements.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of industry experience in related fields such as construction, telecommunications, cable, or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in navigating government and regulatory licensing requirements.
  • Proficient in Excel, including data modeling and analytics.
  • Capable of operating effectively within matrix organizations and with government entities.
  • Strong initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrician, general contractor, plumber or HVAC contractor licenses.
  • Pass required training and examinations to obtain certifications and licenses.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local licensing laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with finance on invoicing and payments for license applications and renewals.
  • Track licensing due dates, renewals, and changes; ensure timely submissions.

A multi-site facility management company dedicated to providing management services for commercial buildings throughout Florida, focusing on maintenance.

We are seeking a motivated Responsible License Qualifier to join our team. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements about company licensing. He's responsible for qualifying the company they work for and the work performed by the company team of technicians and partners for local, state, and federal licensing requirements.This position does not restrict them from being able to use their license for personal reasons, such as side work, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for any licensed electrician, plumber, HVAC, or general contractor to utilize their unused license.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain electrician, General contractor, plumber or HVAC contractor licenses
  • ability to pass required training and examinations to obtain certifications and licenses
  • knowledge and understanding of the multi-site facility management industry
  • Expertise in management of commercial and residential projects
  • Experience in state requirements for license application, renewal, and licensing change
  • Ensures full compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Partner with finance and accounting teams regarding invoicing and payments to ensure accurate and timely license applications and renewals
  • Attention to detail in tracking licensing due dates and timelines pertaining to applications, changes in licenses, and renewals
  • Strong communication skills & experience working with local and state licensing organizations to apply for and secure required company licenses
  • Build trusted relationships with senior executives and functional leadership
  • Ensure a positive company image by working closely with industry, business, community
