Assist with permit, inspection, licensing, and regulatory matters as appropriate.
Support the company with licensing documentation, renewals, regulatory inquiries, and compliance requirements.
Remain informed regarding changes to Connecticut plumbing codes and licensing requirements.
Provide guidance regarding code interpretation and complex plumbing matters when necessary.
Work collaboratively with company leadership to maintain appropriate professional and regulatory standards.
Be reasonably available to company leadership and field operations when matters require input from the licensed qualifier.
Participate in occasional meetings, inspections, or other in-person activities if specifically required by Connecticut or local regulatory authorities.
Active Connecticut Master Plumber license or other Connecticut plumbing license legally sufficient to serve as the company's qualifying license holder.
License must be current, unrestricted, and in good standing.
Strong knowledge of Connecticut plumbing codes, licensing requirements, permitting, and inspection processes.
Significant professional plumbing experience, preferably 7+ years.
Prior experience as a Master Plumber, plumbing contractor, qualifier, supervisor, or responsible license holder strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Ability to provide technical and compliance oversight without being involved in daily field service.
Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Willingness to maintain all required continuing education and license-renewal requirements.
Previous experience serving as a license qualifier or qualifying Master Plumber for a plumbing company.
Experience supporting multi-location, franchise, or rapidly growing plumbing operations.
Knowledge of residential service plumbing and emergency plumbing operations.
Experience overseeing journeyman plumbers, apprentices, and field technicians.
Familiarity with permitting, inspections, code compliance, and contractor licensing.
Additional plumbing or trade licenses are a plus.
This position is designed to be primarily remote.
The Master Plumber / Qualifier will not be expected to perform routine plumbing service calls, maintain a daily field schedule, or operate as a traditional service technician.
The role is focused on licensing, compliance, technical oversight, and supporting the company's plumbing operations.
Any required physical presence will depend upon applicable Connecticut and local licensing, supervision, permitting, or inspection requirements.
Our Client offers competitive compensation based on the candidate's license, experience, level of involvement, and responsibilities as the company's qualifying Master Plumber.
Compensation may be structured as a salary, monthly licensing/qualifier arrangement, or another mutually agreed-upon structure, subject to applicable Connecticut licensing requirements.
