Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, NV. We are seeking a Career Technical Instructor to deliver instruction per approved curricula and provide training and guidance to help students reach their academic goals.

You will coordinate with counselors, develop lessons, and maintain a safe, organized learning space to support student success. A substitute teaching credential and two years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Substitute teaching certification/licensure required by state of employment.
• Two years of work-related experience in designated career training area.
• Willing to obtain OSHA 10 credential within first 90 days of employment, if needed.
• A valid driver license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in line with approved curriculum guidelines, and suggest curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment.

• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Substitute teaching certification/license, as required by the state of employment.
• Two (2) years of work-related experience in the designated career training area.
• Willing to obtain the OSHA 10 credential within the first 90 days of employment, if needed.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
