Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, NV. We are seeking a Career Technical Instructor to deliver instruction per approved curricula and provide training and guidance to help students reach their academic goals.

You will coordinate with counselors, develop lessons, and maintain a safe, organized learning space to support student success. A substitute teaching credential and two years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

Substitute teaching certification/licensure required by state of employment.
Two years of work-related experience in designated career training area.
Willing to obtain OSHA 10 credential within first 90 days of employment, if needed.
A valid driver license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
Motivate and counsel students in behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
Coordinate with counselors and staff to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction.
Develop and prepare lessons in line with approved curriculum guidelines, and suggest curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment.
