Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and substitute teaching certification, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
• One year instructional experience preferred
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication and computer proficiency required

Responsibilities

• Provide students with basic direction, instruction and assistance in designated areas of instruction
• Administer and correct rests and maintain progress and attendance reports
• Assist in developing community linkages and volunteers for the department
• Ensure accountability is taken each period and report student absences promptly
• Participate in student assessment panels, and perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS and other documentation systems

Education

Bachelor's degree and substitute teaching certification

One year instructional experience

Experience with youth and strong communication
