Job summary

Santander is seeking a Trade Finance Origination Associate in the United States to originate and manage trade and working capital opportunities from sales through execution. You will collaborate with Relationship Managers to tailor GTB trade solutions for clients in natural resources, utilities, and commodities sectors.

The role requires extensive experience with sub-investment grade clients, strong financial acumen, and the ability to drive deals from inception to close while coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience.
• Experience with sub-investment grade clients in the American market.
• Knowledge of working capital, cash flow forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to develop relationships across geography and coordinate front-to-back processes.

Responsibilities

• Market GTB trade products to potential Santander clients in relevant sectors.
• Prepare commercial plans, pitches and RFIs for C-suite interactions.
• Provide pricing/market intelligence and present profitability to committees.
• Report progress of the commercial agenda to senior management.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders for end-to-end execution and onboarding.
• Ensure governance and risk controls are followed throughout the process.
