Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is assisting a Chicago-based global manufacturer in recruiting an experienced Trade Compliance & Supply Chain Manager. This high-visibility role spans North America, Europe, and Asia and partners with Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to strengthen policies, controls, and processes.

The Manager will lead global compliance efforts across imports/exports, HTS classifications, and regulatory changes while driving governance and due diligence

Qualifications

• 7+ years of trade compliance, customs, import/export, or related regulatory experience.
• Experience within a global manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HTS classification, country of origin, valuation, tariffs, and FTAs.
• Experience developing or improving trade compliance policies and controls.
• Strong cross-functional communication and business-partnering skills.
• Supply chain due diligence, forced labor, ESG compliance, or regulatory agency experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead global trade compliance across imports, exports, customs, sanctions, and related regulations.
• Provide guidance on HTS classification, country of origin, customs valuation, tariffs, and FTAs.
• Monitor and interpret changing global trade regulations, export controls, and sanctions.
• Develop and improve compliance policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide oversight around supplier traceability, forced labor requirements, and supply chain due diligence.
• Partner with global business teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
• Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and interactions with customs authorities.

A global manufacturing organization in Chicago is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance & Supply Chain Manager to help build and strengthen its global trade compliance function. This is a high-visibility role with broad responsibility across North America, Europe, and Asia.

The Manager will serve as a key trade compliance expert while partnering closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to improve policies, controls, and processes across the organization.

Compensation & Location

Location: Chicago, IL

Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days in office / 1 day remote

Compensation: $100K-$160K base (based on experience) + annual bonus
