Job summary

Danfoss GmbH is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support Preferential Origin activities, ensuring products meet origin requirements and enabling duty savings. You will validate origin qualification outcomes and collaborate with procurement and engineering to improve data accuracy.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in trade compliance, with strong knowledge of origin rules, HS classifications, and ERP tools such as SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or customs.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS classification, and origin rules.
• Familiarity with export control regimes (EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and customs management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Preferential Origin qualification activities with global scope.
• Analyze BOMs and data to determine origin qualification.
• Coordinate collection and validation of supplier origin documentation.
• Create and provide preferential origin certificates as requested by customers.
• Assess completeness and accuracy of supplier declarations to ensure compliance.
• Provide guidance on rules of origin and compliance risks.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and suppliers to improve data quality.
• Identify gaps or risks in origin data and support duty optimization strategies.
• Maintain audit-ready records of origin documentation.
