Nidec Mobility America seeks a Key Coordinator for Trade Compliance to ensure ongoing conformity with import/export transactions, including FTZs, and to review the effectiveness of trade compliance programs.
You will prepare leadership reports, support international trade functions, and coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and suppliers to ensure timely, compliant shipments across the supply chain.

Responsible as a Key Coordinator, ensuring continuous compliance with import/export transactions, including Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs) and to conduct in-depth review of Nidec Mobility America's (NMOA's) trade compliance programs effectiveness/efficiency, and implement key compliance initiatives. Additionally, responsible for preparing reports to NMOA's leadership team, while supporting management with the accurate and timely execution of international trade functions.
Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or 5+ years' specific import/export subject matter expert work experience.
5+ years' experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export operations. Advanced working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import/export laws, Foreign Trade Zones, Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS's), Freight Bidding, and other compliance requirements. Proficiency with trade compliance software (ex., Integration Point), ERP software (ex., QAD) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience in customs documentation Review, Valuation, and Country of Origin determination. Proficiency with KPI's (Key Performance Indicator), reporting, and compliance auditing. Excellent verbal/written communication skills, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while effectively communicating with cross-functional teams and external contacts.
