Job summary

Nidec Corporation seeks an experienced international trade professional to develop and manage import/export regulations and policies under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager. You will coordinate customs audits and negotiate freight contracts to support our global operations.

The role requires 7–10 years in international trade, strong communication, and the ability to influence senior management on complex trade issues.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of international trade experience with a multinational company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and work with senior management on complex trade issues.
  • Good problem solving skills with ability to develop new ideas for innovative solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish productive business relationships.
  • Knowledge of TSA requirements.
  • Good knowledge of electronics manufacturing environment and materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develops/manages all import and export regulations and policies.
  • Coordinates customs audits and inquiries.
  • Assist in negotiating international freight and broker/forwarder contracts and requirements.
  • Develop international trade policies and procedures.
  • Manage adherence to license requirements and ensure certifications.
  • Work with technical and legal entities for tariff classification compliance.
  • Develops and implements logistics services to support supply chain elements.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager develops and manages all import and export regulations and policies. .

Job Description
  • Develops/manages all import and export regulations and policies.
  • Coordinates customs audits and inquires.
  • Assist in negotiating international freight and broker/forwarder contracts and requirements.
  • Develop international trade policies and procedures.
  • Manage all adherence to all license requirements and insure that all certifications and requirements are met-e.g. (NAFTA, CTPAT, ITAR,EAR. )
  • Work closely with technical and legal entities to ensure tariff classification compliance.
  • Develops and implements logistics services to support each element of a business areas' supply chain model.
Skills and Experience
  • 7-10 years of international trade experience with multi-national company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and work with senior management on complex trade issues
  • Good problem solving skills with ability to develop new ideas in order to provide innovative solutions.

Education

B.S. in international business, or similar field, or equivalent, required.
