Job Description:
An ECC (Export Compliance Coordinator) is responsible for assisting the Empowered Official in developing, implementing, and managing export/import compliance and controls, as outlined in Corporate Policy. The ECC must work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure Client's compliance with U.S. trade regulations while supporting international growth.
- Determine U.S. Government requirements for daily export/import activities to support location goals.
- Process shipment paperwork using EASE for all exports of hardware.
- Submit initial drafts and final versions of licenses, agreements, and correspondence to GTG for review.
- Ensure compliance with license applications, agreements, permits, and licenses with limitations and requirements.
- Notify legal counsel and Trade Director of any violations or potential violations that could lead to penalties or sanctions, and support investigations.
- Support investigations and address potential or actual violations.
- Develop and conduct export/import and ITAR training tailored to the location and products/services.
- Review export/import activities for potential inaccuracies and conduct self-audits as per corporate procedures.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and brokers regarding export/import clearances.
- Ensure exports of technical data electronically are approved under U.S. laws.
- Complete Jurisdiction Classification for all exports via segment Technical Specialist.
- Review visitor requests, especially for Foreign Nationals or US Persons.
- Review employee foreign travel for compliance.
- Maintain familiarity with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR).
- Learn product groups and capabilities relevant to the location.
- Coordinate multiple activities effectively and prioritize tasks independently.
- Communicate effectively at all organizational levels with integrity and discretion.
- Utilize software applications like Adobe, MS Office, and web-based tools; experience with Teamcenter and EASE is a plus.
- Attend required internal and external export/import training seminars and conferences to stay current with laws and policies.
- Complete GTG Practitioner training within 6 months of employment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or
- Associate Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or
- Graduate Degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
