Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off

L3Harris is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Trade Compliance for our Communication Systems Segment. This role will be responsible for conducting export controlled information review and jurisdiction classification duties across the CS segment. Specifically, this role will:

  1. Conduct ITAR and EAR export jurisdiction and classification reviews of hardware, software and technical data
  2. Provide export classifications to support licensing and agreement applications
  3. Conduct custom classifications (HTS and Schedule B)
  4. Perform review and provide approval of technical data transfers to international third parties
  5. Review and approve L3Harris information placed in the public domain
  6. Implement trade compliance policies in accordance with U.S. Export Regulations
  7. Participate in planning and execution of Trade Compliance audits
  8. Develop and deploy training
  9. Complete annual SME training
  10. Identify and recommend process improvements
  11. Report to the Manager, Technical Trade Compliance in the Communications Systems Segment
  12. Determine and document export and customs classifications
  13. Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, and Customs regulations, providing guidance to internal and external customers
  14. Manage workload effectively, including competing priorities and deadlines
  15. Utilize thorough understanding of ITAR and EAR regulations in daily duties

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Practical knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and Customs regulations, especially jurisdiction and classification analysis
  • Strong verbal and communication skills for interaction with all customers
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Ability to perform duties with moderate supervision and participate in cross-functional projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent technical experience
  • Familiarity with LO/CLO and Anti-Tamper requirements
  • Knowledge of EAR CAT 5 Part 2
  • Experience with OCR EASE and Agile PDM
  • Experience with software defined radios
  • U.S. Security clearance (preferred, not required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables (preferred)

The salary range for this role is $54,000 - $100,000. Final offer depends on experience, location, and other factors.
