Job summary

Fraza is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician in Romulus, Michigan. In this field-based position, you'll service and repair OTR tractor-trailers and semi-trucks, leveraging your diagnostic expertise to minimize downtime. You’ll enjoy flexible scheduling with no weekends and receive a full benefits package, including a sign-on bonus.

The ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience in heavy-duty diesel repair and strong problem-solving skills. You'll troubleshoot complex systems and work on various fleet vehicles daily, making each day different and challenging.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing OTR tractor-trailers or heavy-duty diesel equipment.
• Strong diagnostic instincts for heavy truck systems (Class 7-8).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Log service work accurately and communicate with dispatch.

Fraza & Vitan Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician to service, diagnose, and repair OTR tractor-trailers and semi-trucks. This is a fast-paced, field-based position where you'll use your diagnostic expertise across heavy-duty mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to keep our customers' fleets moving and minimize road downtime.

What you’ll do:

• Troubleshoot and repair complex diesel engines, air brakes, electrical systems, and heavy-duty drivetrains
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), annual DOT inspections, and emergency roadside/field repairs
• Hit the road to various customer fleet sites—every day brings a different rig and a new diagnostic challenge
• Log your service work accurately and communicate clearly with the branch dispatch team

What you’ll need:

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience repairing OTR tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, or heavy-duty diesel equipment
• Strong diagnostic instincts across heavy truck systems (Class 7-8) and a safety‑first mindset on the job
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the company truck (CDL is a plus, but not required)
