Job summary

Fraza & Vitan Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician to service, diagnose, and repair OTR tractor-trailers and semi-trucks. This field-based role requires diagnosing across heavy-duty mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime for our customers’ fleets.

We offer a sign-on bonus, hourly pay based on experience, a company vehicle, no weekends, and full benefits including PTO, medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience repairing OTR tractor-trailers, semis, or heavy-duty diesel equipment.
• Strong diagnostic instincts across heavy truck systems (Class 7-8).
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex diesel engines, air brakes, electrical systems, and heavy-duty drivetrains.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), annual DOT inspections, and emergency roadside/field repairs.
• Hit the road to various customer fleet sites daily and document work with branch dispatch.

This is a fast-paced, field-based position where you'll use your diagnostic expertise across heavy-duty mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to keep our customers' fleets moving and minimize road downtime.

  What you'll do:

• Troubleshoot and repair complex diesel engines, air brakes, electrical systems, and heavy-duty drivetrains

• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), annual DOT inspections, and emergency roadside/field repairs

• Hit the road to various customer fleet sites- every day brings a different rig and a new diagnostic challenge

• Log your service work accurately and communicate clearly with the branch dispatch team
  What you'll need:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing OTR tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, or heavy-duty diesel equipment

• Strong diagnostic instincts across heavy truck systems (Class 7-8) and a safety-first mindset on the job

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the company truck (CDL is a plus, but not required)
