Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport in Dallas, TX is seeking a Tractor Technician II for full-time maintenance duties on our tractor fleet. You will troubleshoot issues, perform intermediate-level repairs, and ensure work meets company specs while adhering to safety and process standards.

The role may involve outdoor work, multiple shifts including nights and weekends, with potential overtime and a $1,500 sign-on bonus for a limited time.

Qualifications

• 18+ with 1–2 years in semi-tractor maintenance/repair or military equivalent.
• A/C certification and experience with DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
• Must provide own basic tools in most locations or use toolbox program.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate-level maintenance, service and repair on tractors and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues, complete fleet maintenance processes and adhere to SRT/warranty guidelines.
• Assist onboarding of trainee technicians and participate in OE repair training.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
