Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Tractor Technician II in the Maintenance department.

Under routine supervision, you will perform intermediate-level maintenance, service, and repair of tractors and equipment. This role may require outdoor work and shifts including nights and weekends with overtime. You will troubleshoot issues, complete fleet maintenance processes, and ensure adherence to JB Hunt specifications at all times.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance and repair.
• A/C Certification and at least 1 year of experience in DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
• Basic tools supplied by employee; tools may be purchased through a toolbox program.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, part replacements, and repairs on tractors per specifications.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring Tractor Technician trainees.
• Participate in OE training for OE repairs.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues; work independently and seek assistance as needed.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Accurately complete work orders and adhere to standard repair times and warranty guidelines.
