J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair on our tractors and equipment.

This full-time role may require outdoor work, night shifts, and weekends, with potential overtime. You will troubleshoot issues, complete fleet maintenance processes, and ensure units meet JB Hunt specifications at all times. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $1,500 for a limited time and includes opportunities for training,

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance and repair and/or training and/or military equivalent experience; outdoor and multi-shift work may be required.
• A/C Certification; at least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes.
• Basic tools are required; employees must provide their own tools in most locations (toolbox purchase program available).
• Willingness to work outdoors, in elements, or across nights/weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient technical knowledge of preventative maintenance and repair on tractors, including fuel system, battery, engine, drive train, ECU, transmission, air brakes, and FHWA inspections.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring Tractor Technician trainees.
• Participate in OE repairs training and perform trouble shooting of tractor issues; work independently and seek help as needed.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Complete repairs to company and manufacturer specifications; document work orders; adhere to SRT and warranty guidelines.
