Job summary

This full-time role may involve outdoor work, variable shifts including nights/weekends, and requires ensuring units meet JB Hunt specifications.

The position emphasizes troubleshooting, adherence to safety procedures, and timely completion of work orders in alignment with SRT and warranty guidelines.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in semi-tractor maintenance and repair.
• A/C Certification; experience with DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
• Basic tools are required; employees must supply their own tools in most locations.
• Willing to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient technical knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and more difficult repairs on tractors.
• May assist with onboarding and mentoring of tractor technician trainees.
• Participate in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training for OE repairs.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues; work independently and seek assistance as needed.
• Follow shop safety procedures consistently.
• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Accurately perform intermediate-level repairs to company and manufacturer specifications; complete work orders; understand SRT and warranty guidelines.
