Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Tractor Technician to perform intermediate maintenance, service and repair on tractors and related equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, adhere to SRTs, and ensure compliance with company specs while working across shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, parts replacement, and collaboration with team members. Tools provided per location; overtime and outdoor work are possible.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1–2 years of experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance or military equivalent experience.
• A/C Certification and at least 1 year of experience in DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
• Own tools or participate in toolbox purchase program; willingness to work outdoors and across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair of tractors to meet company specs.
• Troubleshoot issues and complete fleet maintenance processes and work orders.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring Tractor Technician trainees as needed.
• Adhere to standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines.
