Job summary

Paragon Leasing L.P. is seeking a Diesel Technician to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostic tests, and repairs on our trucks, including Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner models. You will work on engine, braking, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a fast-paced shop environment.

Multiple shifts are available. This role offers a strong team culture and opportunities to advance within Stevens Transport's Paragon Leasing division.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of general heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience.
• Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals and written instruction.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Ability to clearly read, write and speak English.
• Basic math calculations.
• Cummins or Detroit Certifications
• Commercial Inspection Certification

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and non-routine repairs to fleet to meet DOT standards.
• Diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repair.
• Suspension and steering systems diagnostics and repair.
• Air and hydraulic braking systems diagnostics and repair.
• Electrical and lighting diagnostics and repair.
• Preventable Maintenance repairs.
• Changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Maintaining a clean and neat shop.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: We are currently hiring a Diesel Technician who will be responsible for preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostic tests, and repairs on our trucks, which include equipment by Peterbilt, Kenworth and Freightliners. This includes all general and complex repairs.

• Climbing ladders, stairs, and platforms
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

Work Experience:

• 1+ years as Diesel Technician
