Job summary

Egis in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Project Manager, Traction Power to lead electrical infrastructure projects from design through commissioning. You’ll manage substations, MV distribution, and utility interfaces to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

With 10+ years in power systems and program management, you’ll drive scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with utilities, contractors, and stakeholders across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years delivering power systems, electrical infrastructure, or energy projects.
• 10+ years of project management leading complex infrastructure programs.
• Experience with substations, medium-voltage distribution, and utility interconnections.
• Strong understanding of power system integration and multidisciplinary delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of traction power, medium voltage, and auxiliary power systems through design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, energization, and operational handover.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, change management activities, and stakeholder engagement for electrical infrastructure work packages.
• Coordinate interfaces between power systems, utilities, SCADA, communications, signaling, facilities, operations, and other project disciplines.
• Manage utilities, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Oversee the integration and delivery of substations, utility interconnections, medium-voltage distribution systems, power monitoring, protection systems, and related electrical infrastructure.
• Support permitting, utility coordination, regulatory approvals, energization readiness, and compliance activities required for system implementation and operation.
• Lead construction oversight, testing, commissioning, defect resolution, operational readiness, and final system acceptance activities.
