Egis in the U.S. is seeking an Engineer, Traction Power in our Sacramento, CA office.

The role provides technical leadership from design through energization and handover, focusing on traction power, substations, MV distribution, and interfaces with utilities and signaling. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and 6+ years of related experience delivering complex electrical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 6+ years of experience in power systems, electrical infrastructure, utility, MV, transportation, or industrial projects.
• Experience delivering electrical systems through design, construction, testing, commissioning, energization, and acceptance.
• Experience with substations, MV distribution, utility interconnections, protective relays, SCADA, and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee traction power, MV, and auxiliary power systems through design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate requirements management, technical reviews, engineering studies, and design development with multidisciplinary teams.
• Review technical deliverables, calculations, specs, equipment selections, submittals, and construction docs for compliance with standards.
• Coordinate interfaces between power systems, utilities, SCADA, signaling, and facilities with stakeholders.
• Support utility coordination, permitting, interconnection, and regulatory documentation.
• Provide engineering support during construction, energization, testing, commissioning, and issue resolution.
• Participate in system integration, readiness, defect resolution, and turnover of electrical infrastructure.
