Job summary

Wabtec is hiring Remanufacturing Technicians in Kansas City, MO. Pay starts at $27.50/hr with a $1.00/hr shift differential for 2nd Shift. Schedule includes 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 5:30 AM–2:00 PM) and 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM).

You will disassemble, inspect, and reassemble traction motor components, operate production equipment, and follow safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards. High school diploma or GED preferred; 1+ year manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of inspection and measurement tools preferred.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble traction motor components.
• Operate manual and automated production equipment.
• Use hydraulic and pneumatic tools safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed work using measuring devices, gauges, and testing equipment.
• Follow engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Complete process documentation for all assigned work.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Maintain required production standards and takt times.
• Perform welding, non-destructive testing, or other specialized processes when trained and certified.
• Follow EHS policies and safety procedures at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
