Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Remanufacturing Technician to safely disassemble, clean, requalify, rework and assemble Traction Motor Combo components using manual and automated equipment.

The role emphasizes adherence to quality procedures, EHS policies, and lean manufacturing principles, with potential for welding or NDT work after training. Typical shift is 1:30pm–10:00pm on-site in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of related manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of EHS procedures and policies.
• Ability to use manual equipment and hand tools safely.
• Working knowledge of inspection measurement equipment.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform disassembly, cleaning, requalification, rework and assembly on Traction Motor Combo components.
• Inspect work to internal criteria for quality or engineering compliance.
• Support lean manufacturing with 5S and takt-time objectives.
• Possibly perform welding or non-destructive testing with required training/certification.
• Sign-off on process documentation for each work step.
• Process components per internal processing requirements.
