Job summary

Valley Metro RPTA is seeking a Track Maintenance Technician to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of the light rail infrastructure. The role involves routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on tracks and related components to prevent disruptions and support timely passenger transportation.

Starting hourly rate is $25.22 with a full pay range of $25.22 to $37.83 per hour. This safety-sensitive position requires passing a DOT physical, pre-employment drug test, and a background check

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of maintenance laborer experience or equivalent.
• Experience with repairs, inspections, and operating heavy equipment and tools.
• Must obtain Class B CDL permit within 90 days and full CDL with air brake within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform track maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Operate hi-rail vehicles, cranes, and associated equipment safely.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare reports; assist in other duties as assigned.
