Job summary

Garden City Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Cross Country coach for the Sep 9 - Oct 30 season at Garden City Middle School. Three practice days per week with competitions on Saturdays; practices start at 2:45 PM.

Experience in coaching and strong communication skills are preferred. CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required. Applicants should demonstrate positive role modeling in interactions with students, parents, community members and game officials.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience in middle school athletics preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills preferable.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
• Knowledge of Cross Country or track sport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Middle School Cross Country practices and prepare students for competitions.
• Attend all practices and Saturday meets during the season.
• Model appropriate conduct and communication with students, parents, and officials.
