Job summary

Brown County Middle School in Nashville, IN, is seeking an Assistant Track Coach to support the Head Coach in developing and sustaining a middle school track and field program. The role emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, physical fitness, and student-athlete development.

The assistant will help plan practices and meets, teach technique and conditioning, ensure athlete safety, and collaborate with parents and staff to promote academic success and program growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of track and field events, training, and conditioning.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with middle school students.
• Prior coaching or track experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Reports To: Head Track Coach, Athletic Director, and Building Principal

Position Summary

The Assistant Track Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Track Coach in organizing, developing, and supporting the middle school track and field program while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, physical fitness, and student-athlete development.
