Job summary

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking an Assistant Coach for Track and Field for Spring stipend positions. The role encompasses supervising student athletes, coordinating practices and competitions, and collaborating with the Athletics Office and booster club on budgets and fundraising.

The incumbent will model positive sportsmanship, ensure safety and adherence to MSHSL policies, and assist with season planning, roster maintenance, and injury reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of track and field coaching practices.
• Ability to model good sportsmanship and character.
• Strong communication with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to enforce discipline and safety rules.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks during practices and games.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to student participation.
• Familiarity with school policies and athlete welfare procedures.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage coaching responsibilities for the track program.
• Plan and supervise team travel, practices and competitions.
• Coordinate with athletics director and booster club on budget and fundraising.
• Support in-season and off-season conditioning and weight programs.
• Schedule practices and games with staff and other programs.
• Enforce rules and model positive sportsmanship at all times.
• Perform other duties related to the program as assigned.
