Job summary

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking two Assistant Coaches for the softball program at Burnsville High School. The stipend is 1.0 equaling $4,900 for the spring season. Coaches will uphold character over winning and contribute to a positive student-athlete experience.

Responsibilities include organizing the team, coordinating practices, working with the athletics director on budgets and fundraising, and maintaining records. Coaching certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Has knowledge and background in the specific sport.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and ISD 191 School Board Policies regarding student conduct and appropriate disciplinary action.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and community.
• Ability to receive feedback and adjust accordingly.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to student participation in co-curricular activities.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Organize and administer the coaching of the athletic team.
• Plan and supervise team travel to events, practices, and competitions.
• Coordinate with the athletics director and booster club on budgets and fundraising.
• Support in-season and off-season conditioning programs.
• Coordinate practice and game schedules with the Athletics Office and other programs.
• Enforce discipline and promote sportsmanship; manage penalties.
• Perform other duties related to the program.
