Job summary

East Lake Academy of Fine Arts in Chattanooga, TN is seeking qualified coaches to support athletic programs and ensure student safety and compliance with state and association rules.

Coaches must complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, First Aid, Health & Safety, and related certifications, with ASEP credits considered for prior exemptions where applicable. Ongoing training and adherence to policy are expected.

Qualifications

• Coaches must complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches prior to assuming the position.
• If ASEP coaches education was completed before May 15, 2013, it will exempt the coach from NFHS courses.

Responsibilities

• State Law and health-safety policies (link: https://tssaa.org/health-safety-policies).
• School Level AD should keep concussion Certificate on file every year.
• School Level AD should keep Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate on file every year.
• TSSAA/TMSAA compliance (link: https://tssaa.org/health-safety-policies).
• When applicable, completion of Fundamentals of Coaching should be on file.
• When applicable, completion of First Aid, Health, & Safety should be on file.
• NEW - completion of NFHS Heat Illness Prevention course on file every year (link: https://nfhslearn.com/courses?utf8=%E2%9C%93&searchText=heat+).
