Job summary
FIC America Corp. is seeking an Operational Development Sr. Specialist to lead Toyota Production System (TPS) practices across production areas in the Chicago area.
You will oversee TPS audits, standard work verification, time studies, Kaizen activities, and training support to drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements. You will coordinate with production, quality, engineering, HR, and management to ensure improvement actions are implemented, sustained, and aligned with company
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Toyota Production System (TPS) principles, standardized work, Kaizen, 5S, visual management, problem solving, and waste reduction.
Responsibilities
- Lead OD/TPS activities across assigned areas to support goals for safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Plan, assign, and follow up on daily TPS audits to identify waste, safety concerns, and opportunities.
- Lead time studies and verify standard work, cycle times, manpower requirements, line balance, and production targets.
- Review TPS audit results, maintain improvement data, and report trends and countermeasure status to management.
- Lead and support Kaizen activities focused on reducing muda and improving material and information flow.
- Provide guidance on TPS principles, problem solving, 5S, visual management, and standard work.
